Kite Event Weeks in El Gouna
General information
We offer “Kite Event Weeks” in the Kiba Kitehouse in certain weeks throughout the year. During these weeks the Kitehouse is transformed into a mixture of kite camp, kite event and bed & breakfast. Our goal is to make a kite vacation possible for solo travelers, where our guests can meet other like-minded people on site, feel in good hands and book at a reasonable price.
Similar to other kite camps in Egypt, a fixed group is put together in advance. All participants live together in the Kiba Kitehouse. In contrast to other kite events in El Gouna, you no longer have to worry about accommodation. All kite courses can be booked individually in addition to the normal local prices of the kite stations. Our German-speaking guide on site will support you - he will give you all the information about the spots, the wind conditions and the kite courses in El Gouna. You only book what you need. If you are an advanced kitesurfer, you may not need a kite course. If the wind doesn't cooperate, you can simply save your money and arrange other activities. For a successful start to the day together, breakfast is already included in the “Kite Event Week”.

Service during the Kite Event Weeks
​
As with all other bookings at the Kiba Kitehouse, Alissa is responsible for all accommodation issues. This applies, for example, to check-in and check-out, equipment, bike and SUP rental. As always, before you arrive you will receive our little travel guide with all the important information about getting there and lots of useful tips about El Gouna.

Special in-house service during the Kite Event Week:
- Drinking water is provided free of charge and does not have to be purchased individually. (In Egypt, drinking tap water should generally be avoided.)
- The bathroom and the floors of the common areas are cleaned once or twice a week (whether once or twice depends on the number of participants).
- The use of the SUPs is completely free during the Kite Event Week.
Support from your guide ​
Your guides are always German-speaking kitesurfers who know their way around El Gouna and the kite stations very well. They are your contact person for all things kitesurfing and leisure activities throughout the week. At the beginning and middle of the week, your guide will eat with the group. This gives you the opportunity to get to know each other, discuss kitesurfing courses and, depending on the weather, plan a no-wind activity. It should be noted that the guide does not necessarily take part in the activities. It is intended to provide support and inspiration so that the group itself can have a great holiday together. If conditions permit, the guide will put you in touch with other kitesurfers and try to put together larger groups for the no-wind activities.

Breakfast
1. Breakfast Buffet at Nicole's Greenhouse
Just a few minutes' walk away, Nicole's Greenhouse awaits you with a delicious breakfast buffet. This vegetarian restaurant is a popular destination for a great start to the day in a beautiful setting! It delights not only vegans and vegetarians but also anyone who appreciates a healthy and varied breakfast. The buffet offers an excellent selection, including plenty of fresh, healthy vegetables. Additionally, you can look forward to delicious omelets in various styles, perfectly prepared. For lovers of sweet breakfast options, there are fluffy pancakes, porridge, and muesli with a variety of special toppings.
2. Breakfast Buffet at the Sheraton Hotel
Also located in the immediate vicinity of the South Marina is the Sheraton Hotel. The selection at this breakfast buffet is vast, and the view of the lagoons and the open sea is fantastic.
3. Breakfast at La Plancha
La Plancha is a popular restaurant as it is situated right by a lagoon and offers excellent food. For breakfast, you can choose from several delicious options. Especially when there is no wind, the location invites you to sunbathe after breakfast and relax on the lagoon beach.
Booking a Kite & Event Week
If you are interested in making a booking, please feel free to send us a message with any questions or requests. If you want to stay longer or shorter, or if your vacation time does not coincide with a Kite & Event Week, we are flexible and will try to make you a suitable offer. If there are not enough participants for a Kite & Event Week yet, you can reserve a spot for that week for a certain period. The week will take place with a minimum of 3 participants and must then be booked. Otherwise, the Kiba Kitehouse will be rented out to others.
Anyone can book a Kite & Event Week, but you should meet the following conditions:
- If you have no kite experience, that’s not a problem. However, in this case, you should take a beginner's course or a trial course to try kiting.
- You are a team player and are excited to go for breakfast with your group and plan activities or go out in the evenings.
- You are able to behave respectfully towards your housemates in the Kiba Kitehouse.
- You will adhere to the usual house rules of the Kiba Kitehouse. Additionally, you agree to follow the extended house rules for communal living in the Kiba Kitehouse. The house rules will be provided to you before booking in the terms and conditions.
Availability of shared rooms and single rooms, as well as the arrangement of beds, can be individually inquired about before booking. We do not have direct influence over the composition of the group, but we always strive to meet your expectations.
